Immobilization of TiO2 on perlite granules for photocatalytic degradation of phenol

TL;DR: In this paper, the photocatalytic degradation of phenol by nanoTiO2 particles coated on perlite as a new composite nano-catalyst was investigated, and the results showed that the effect of adsorption and degradation on the TiO2/perlite catalysts in the dark conditions were negligible.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of chromium from aqueous solution using polyaniline – Poly ethylene glycol composite

TL;DR: Investigation of the isothermal characteristics showed that chromium adsorption by PANi/PEG composite was in high accordance with Langmuir's isotherm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Covalently immobilized laccase onto graphene oxide nanosheets: Preparation, characterization, and biodegradation of azo dyes in colored wastewater

TL;DR: Graphene oxide was synthesized via modified Hummer's method and exploited as an ideal enzyme immobilization support due to its exclusive chemical and structural features and the average decolorization effectiveness of the nanobiocatalyst was more than 75% after six cycles, implies its excellent operational stability and good reusability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of organic removal in fixed-bed aerobic biological reactor

TL;DR: Stover-Kincannon model and second-order model known as "Grau" model were found to be the most appropriate models for this reactor and could be used in predicting the behavior or design of the UAIB reactors.
