Ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filters using multiple-mode resonator

TL;DR: In this article, a microstrip-line ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter is proposed and implemented using a multiplemode resonator (MMR), aiming at transmitting the signals in the whole UWB passband of 3.1-10.6GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compact dual-band microstrip bandpass filter without external feeds

TL;DR: In this article, a dual-band microstrip bandpass filter is proposed and designed to operate at 2.4 and 5.2 GHz without needing any external impedance-matching block, and the modified halfwavelength stepped-impedance resonator with sinuous configuration is constructed to simultaneously excite the dual resonances at these two specified frequencies with miniaturized overall size.
Journal ArticleDOI

Capacitive-Ended Interdigital Coupled Lines for UWB Bandpass Filters With Improved Out-of-Band Performances

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiple-mode resonator (MMR) is first constituted to equally allocate its first three resonant frequencies in the 3.1-10.6 GHz UWB band, and two capacitive-ended interdigital coupled lines are formed to assign their transmission zero towards the fourth-order resonant frequency of this MMR, thereby suppressing the first spurious passband.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wideband Microstrip Ring Resonator Bandpass Filters Under Multiple Resonances

TL;DR: In this article, a new class of wideband microstrip bandpass filters under multiple resonances of an asymmetric ring resonator is proposed, where two capacitive coupling elements are placed at two perpendicular positions of a squared ring, whereas a pair of open-circuited stubs is formed in the symmetrical plane of these two excited ports similar to a dual-mode ring filter in shape.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Dual-Band Ring-Resonator Bandpass Filter Based on Two Pairs of Degenerate Modes

TL;DR: In this article, a dual-band ring-resonator bandpass filter with two transmission poles in both passbands is proposed, where two capacitors or parallel-coupled lines are placed at two nonorthogonally excited positions along a ring resonator in order to excite the two first-order degenerate modes and create multiple transmission zeros.
