Journal ArticleDOI

Headache improvement after intracranial endovascular procedures in Chinese patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysm: A prospective observational study.

TL;DR: Treatment of UIAs resulted in relief of headaches in about half of patients who had headaches pre-operatively, and patients with pretreatment tension-type headache, more severe headaches, stent-assisted coiling, and stent implantation of the aneurysm were the important disadvantage for patients in improvement of post-procedure headache.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gene expression microarray analysis of the spinal trigeminal nucleus in a rat model of migraine with aura.

TL;DR: Real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR and bioinformatics analysis indicated that these genes are involved in motility, cell migration, CO2/nitric oxide homeostasis and signal transduction, which indicates that cortical spreading depression can trigger migraine with aura and activate the trigeminal vascular system.
Journal Article

Value of tumor markers in the cerebrospinal fluid in the diagnosis of meningeal carcinomatosis

TL;DR: In this paper, the diagnositic value of tumor markers in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for meningeal carcinomatosis (MC) was assessed using the Roche E170 electrochemiluminescence analyzer and sandwich assay.
Journal ArticleDOI

The second to fourth digit ratio (2D:4D): a risk factor of migraine and Tension-type headache

TL;DR: It is suggested that the 2D:4D ratio is a risk factor of migraine and TTH and that the balance of prenatal estrogen and testosterone in utero may impact adult primary headache disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pruritus in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders and multiple sclerosis.

TL;DR: Pruritus occurs more frequently in NMOSD than MS, which may help in distinguishingNMOSD from MS, especially at early stage.
