Removal of methylene blue from water with montmorillonite nanosheets/chitosan hydrogels as adsorbent

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-assembled hydrogels were prepared with exfoliated montmorillonite nanosheets and chitosan (CS) as the adsorbent for removing methylene blue (MB) from water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of heavy metals and dyes by clay-based adsorbents: From natural clays to 1D and 2D nano-composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the removal of heavy metals and dyes by clay-based adsorbents, from natural clays to 1D clay nanotubes and 2D Clay nanosheets, has been summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembled gels of Fe-chitosan/montmorillonite nanosheets: Dye degradation by the synergistic effect of adsorption and photo-Fenton reaction

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-assembled gel of Fe-chitosan/montmorillonite nanosheets (Fe-CS/MMTNS) was prepared for elimination of methylene blue (MB) under visible light in the presence of H2O2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Eco-friendly geopolymer prepared from solid wastes: A critical review.

TL;DR: This review classifies the solid wastes utilized for geopolymers into three main categories: industrial waste, agricultural waste, and municipal waste and systematically disserts solid wastes-based geopolymer from the perspectives of structure, properties, and application.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pb(ΙΙ) removal from water using porous hydrogel of chitosan-2D montmorillonite.

TL;DR: An eco-friendly chitosan-2D montmorillonite hydrogel with the characteristics of high surface area, porous structure and easy separation as a new type of adsorbent was investigated and showed the 2DMMT was well exfoliated and the porosity ofHydrogel's structure could be adjusted by the CTS/2D MMT ratio.
