Simvastatin Suppresses Proliferation and Migration in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer via Pyroptosis.

TL;DR: The results of this study showed that the antihyperlipidemic drug simvastatin induced pyroptosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines and a xenograft mouse model, and inhibition of pyroPTosis attenuated the effects of simVastatin on tumor cell viability and migration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Linalool inhibits cigarette smoke-induced lung inflammation by inhibiting NF-κB activation

TL;DR: Treatment of linalool significantly attenuated CS-induced lung inflammation, coupled with inhibited the infiltration of inflammatory cells and TNF-α, IL-6,IL-1β, IL -8 and MCP-1 production and suppressed CS- induced NF-κB activation in a dose-dependent manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fast-track surgery improves postoperative clinical recovery and cellular and humoral immunity after esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.

TL;DR: FTS improves postoperative clinical recovery and effectively inhibited release of inflammatory factors via the immune system after esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overexpression of ubiquitin-specific protease 22 predicts poor survival in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer

TL;DR: The data suggest that USP 22 plays an important role in NSCLC progression at the early stage, and that overexpression of USP22 in tumor tissues could be used as a potential prognostic marker for patients with early clinical stage ofNSCLC.
Journal ArticleDOI

MicroRNA-429 induces tumorigenesis of human non-small cell lung cancer cells and targets multiple tumor suppressor genes.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the expression of miR-429 are often upregulated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) compared withnormal lung tissues, and its expression level is also increased in NSCLC cell lines compared with normal lung cells, and it is shown that it down-regulates PTEN, RASSF8 and TIMP2 expression by directly targeting the 3'-untranslated region of these target genes.
