Journal ArticleDOI

Controlled synthesis and optimum luminescence of Sm3+-activated nano/submicroscale ceria particles by a facile approach

TL;DR: In this article, rare-earth Sm3+-activated nano/sub-microscale ceria particles were prepared by a rapid combustion reaction, and the formation of solid solution was confirmed after sm3+ doping into ceria.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetically controlled seed-mediated growth of narrow dispersed silver nanoparticles up to 120 nm: secondary nucleation, size focusing, and Ostwald ripening

TL;DR: A facile synthesis method was developed based on the seed-mediated growth to get the narrow dispersed silver nanoparticles with controllable sizes ranging from 20 nm to larger than 120 nm, and controlling the supersaturation level is critical to suppress both the nucleation and Ostwald ripening.
Journal ArticleDOI

High drug-loading system of hollow carbon dots-doxorubicin: preparation, in vitro release and pH-targeted research.

TL;DR: It is reported, for the first time, that functional groups on the HCD surfaces (not their hollow structure) play a key role in drug loading and the carrier (HCDs) did not change the in vitro release model or mechanism of DOX before and after loading by the H CDs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, characterization and properties of four new trivalent lanthanide complexes constructed using 2-bromine-5-methoxybenzoic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline.

TL;DR: Four dinuclear trivalent lanthanide complexes of the general formula Ln2(2-Br-5-MOBA)6(phen)2 were prepared and structurally characterized and the bacteriostatic activities of the complexes were evaluated against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blue-light excitable La2Ce2O7:Eu3+ red phosphors for white light-emitting diodes

TL;DR: In this article, Eu3+-activated La2Ce2O7 phosphors are prepared by a self-rising reaction using urea and glycine as leavening agents under hydrothermal conditions.
