Orbital Optimization in the Resonating Hartree-Fock Approximation and Its Application to the One Dimensional Hubbard Model

TL;DR: In this article, a tractable direct optimization algorithm is developed to optimize orbitals in the Slater determinants (S-dets) in a resonating Hartree-Fock (Res HF) wave function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multiplateau magnetization curves of one-dimensional Heisenberg ferrimagnets

TL;DR: In this paper, the ground-state magnetization curves of ferrimagnetic Heisenberg chains of alternating spins S and s were numerically investigated and it was shown that the spin-S,s$ chain generally exhibits $2s$ magnetization plateaus even at the most symmetric point.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for neutral Q-balls in super-Kamiokande II

Y. Takenaga, +136 more
- 29 Mar 2007 -
TL;DR: A search for Q-balls has been carried out in Super-Kamiokande II with 541.7 days of live time as mentioned in this paper, but no candidate for successive contained event groups has been found.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-speed tangentially viewing soft x-ray camera to study magnetohydrodynamic fluctuations in toroidally confined plasmas (invited)

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-speed tangentially viewing soft x-ray camera system has been developed and installed on the large helical device (LHD) using a video camera with a maximum framing rate of 13.5 kHz.
