Journal ArticleDOI
The VAR2CSA malaria protein efficiently retrieves circulating tumor cells in an EpCAM-independent manner
Mette Ø. Agerbæk,Mette Ø. Agerbæk,Mette Ø. Agerbæk,Sara R. Bang-Christensen,Ming-Hsin Yang,Ming-Hsin Yang,Thomas Mandel Clausen,Thomas Mandel Clausen,Thomas Mandel Clausen,Marina Ayres Pereira,Shreya Sharma,Sisse B. Ditlev,Morten Nielsen,Swati Choudhary,Tobias Gustavsson,Poul H. Sorensen,Tim Meyer,David Propper,Jonathan Shamash,Thor G. Theander,Alexandra Aicher,Mads Daugaard,Mads Daugaard,Christopher Heeschen,Christopher Heeschen,Ali Salanti +25 more
TL;DR: It is shown that rVAR2 efficiently captures CTCs from hepatic, lung, pancreatic, and prostate carcinoma patients with minimal contamination of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and targets a larger and more diverse population of C TCs compared to anti-EpCAM strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D approaches to model the tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer.
Elena Tomás-Bort,Markus Kieler,Shreya Sharma,Juliana Candido,Daniela Loessner,Daniela Loessner +5 more
TL;DR: This work summarizes how extracellular and cellular elements of the pancreatic tumor microenvironment and their interactions have been studied in 3D cell cultures and assess the benefits of therapies interfering with the tumor micro environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression/localization patterns of sirtuins (SIRT1, SIRT2, and SIRT7) during progression of cervical cancer and effects of sirtuin inhibitors on growth of cervical cancer cells.
Sapna Singh,P. Uday Kumar,Suresh Thakur,Shashi Kiran,Bijoya Sen,Shreya Sharma,Vishnu Vardhan Rao,A. R. Poongothai,Gayatri Ramakrishna +8 more
TL;DR: The overexpression of SIRT2 and SIRT7 proteins in cervical cancer is reported and probable application of sirtuin inhibitors as therapeutic targets are suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI
CD4+CD25+CD127low Regulatory T Cells Play Predominant Anti-Tumor Suppressive Role in Hepatitis B Virus-Associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Shreya Sharma,Ritu Khosla,Paul David,Archana Rastogi,Ashish Kumar Vyas,Dileep Singh,Ankit Bhardwaj,Amrish Sahney,Rakhi Maiwall,Shiv Kumar Sarin,Nirupma Trehanpati +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that CD4+ CD25+hi Tregs from HBVHCC patients have decreased expression of PD1, resulting in higher IL-10 and TGF-β secretion, which confers increased anti-tumor suppressive response than in non-HBV-HCC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Serial changes of cytokines and growth factors in peripheral circulation after right lobe donor hepatectomy
Shridhar Vasantrao Sasturkar,Paul David,Shreya Sharma,Shiv Kumar Sarin,Nirupama Trehanpati,Viniyendra Pamecha +5 more
TL;DR: HGF, IL 6, TNF‐α, and TPO are involved in the early phase of liver regeneration, whereas TGF‐β1 and IFN are involvedIn conclusion, liver regeneration was observed to be higher in donors with low RLVBWR.
