Fabrication and characterization of self-ignition coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete
TL;DR: In this paper, an orthogonal design for the best mechanical properties of the matrix parts without introducing air pores in advance, the self-ignition coal gangue: lime: cement: gypsum accompanied with 1.3
Journal ArticleDOI
Damping additives used in cement-matrix composites: A review
Lin Chi,Shuang Lu,Yan Yao +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a review for damping capacity of cement-matrix composites modified by various additives is presented in order to summarize the knowledge development in this field, with the aid of stiffness mismatch between the phase interface and the viscoelasticity supplied by the appropriate polymer particle or latex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of mathematical models for predicting the compressive strength and hydration process using the EIS impedance of cementitious materials
TL;DR: In this article, the early-age hydration process of cement paste is characterized using the rate of change in the impedance measured by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), which can be used to predict the compressive strength of the FA-blended cement paste.
Journal ArticleDOI
Viscoelastic behavior of carbon black and its relationship with the aggregate size
Shuang Lu,D.D.L. Chung +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the viscoelastic behavior of binderless carbon black compacts under dynamic compression (0.2-10.0 Hz, static strain 1.0-2.5%, deformation amplitude 9.4-16μm and packing density 0.18-0.45 g/cm 3 ) is governed by the solid part of the compact, with the elastic character dominating the viscous character.
Journal ArticleDOI
An amidoxime-functionalized polypropylene fiber: Competitive removal of Cu(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) from wastewater and subsequent sequestration in cement mortar
TL;DR: In this article, an amidoxime-modified polypropylene (PP) fiber was used as a cost-effective and recyclable adsorbent to remove heavy metals from wastewater.
