Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory effects of saikosaponin-d on CCl4-induced hepatic fibrogenesis in rats.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that SSd could attenuate the area and extent of necrosis and reduce the scores of liver fibrosis in rats induced by CCl(4) injections in combination with alcohol and high fat, low protein feeding and its relationship with the expression of nuclear factor-kappaB, tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interleukins-6.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory effect of emodin and Astragalus polysaccharide on the replication of HBV.
TL;DR: Emodin and APS have a weak but persistent inhibitory effect on HBV replication in vivo, which may function as a supplementary modality in the treatment of hepatitis B infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sustained virologic response to direct-acting antiviral therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C and hepatocellular carcinoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis

TL;DR: Overall, SVR was lower in HCC compared to non-HCC patients, especially in those with active HCC though heterogeneity was high, and Continued efforts are needed to aggressively screen, diagnose and treat HCC to ensure higher CHC cure rates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic review with meta-analysis: effectiveness and tolerability of interferon-free direct-acting antiviral regimens for chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 in routine clinical practice in Asia.
Fanpu Ji,Fanpu Ji,Bin Wei,Yee Hui Yeo,Eiichi Ogawa,Eiichi Ogawa,Biyao Zou,Christopher D Stave,Zongfang Li,Shuangsuo Dang,Norihiro Furusyo,Ramsey Cheung,Ramsey Cheung,Mindie H. Nguyen +13 more
TL;DR: Direct‐acting antiviral regimens have shown high efficacy and tolerability for patients with HCV genotype 1/1b (GT1/1B) in clinical trials, but robust real‐world evidence of interferon (IFN)‐free DAA treatment for HCV GT1‐infected patients in Asia is still lacking.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Ratio of Th-17 to Treg Cells is Associated with Survival of Patients with Acute-on-Chronic Hepatitis B Liver Failure
TL;DR: This study characterizes Th-17 and Treg cells in the blood of HBV-associated acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) patients, and aids the understanding of how the two subsets of CD4(+) T cells affect each other and contribute to survival.
