Geochemistry of the dissolved load of the Changjiang Basin rivers: Anthropogenic impacts and chemical weathering
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical and isotopic compositions of the dissolved load of the rivers of the Changjiang Basin, one of the largest riverine systems in the world, were analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Using δ15N- and δ18O-Values To Identify Nitrate Sources in Karst Ground Water, Guiyang, Southwest China
TL;DR: In order to assess the sources and conversion of nitrate in the groundwater of Guiyang, Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper analyzed the major ions, δ15N-NH4+, δ 15N-NO3-, and δ18O-No3- in surface and groundwater samples collected during both summer and winter seasons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sulfuric acid as an agent of carbonate weathering constrained by δ13CDIC: Examples from Southwest China
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used carbon isotopic evidence and water chemistry of springs and rivers from the Beipanjiang River basin (Guizhou Province, Southwest China) to demonstrate that sulfuric acid is also an important agent of rock weathering.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of the sources of nitrate in the Changjiang River, China using a nitrogen and oxygen isotopic approach.
TL;DR: The sources and variability in nitrate of the Changjiang River are assessed for the first time using dual isotopic approach and there was a strong positive relationship between delta(15)N-NO(3)(-) and delta(18)O-NO (3)(-), which indicated that denitrification added to the enrichment of heavy isotopes of nitrate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of sources and transformations of nitrate in the Xijiang River using nitrate isotopes and Bayesian model.
Cai Li,Si-Liang Li,Fu-Jun Yue,Jing Liu,Jun Zhong,Zhifeng Yan,Ruochun Zhang,Zhong-Jun Wang,Sen Xu +8 more
TL;DR: Overall, the present study quantitatively evaluates the spatio-temporal variations in nitrate sources in a subtropical watershed, and the high-frequency monitoring gives a better estimate of nitrate exports and proportional contributions of nitrates sources.
