Journal ArticleDOI

Exploration of the use of novel SiO2 nanocomposites doped with fluorescent Eu3+/sensitizer complex for latent fingerprint detection.

TL;DR: The results indicated that the use of 1,10-phenanthroline (OP) sensitizer in tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) template provides the best fluorescently doped xerogels applicable for latent fingerprint detections on various forensic relevant materials, including metal foil, glass, plastic, colored paper, and a green tree leaf.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design of radiation resistant metallic multilayers for advanced nuclear systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used synchrotron X-ray reflectivity to study radiation effects at buried interfaces and measure swelling induced by He implantation in Cu/Nb multilayers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monolithic aerogels of silver modified cadmium sulfide colloids.

TL;DR: It is determined that the concentration of silver has a significant impact on the resultant CdS-Ag aerogel morphology and porosity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heating-freezing effects on the orientation of kaolin clay particles

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of temperature changes on the particle orientation of a consolidated kaolin are studied using XRD experiments using two sets of equipment: a benchtop equipment, and a synchrotron beamline at the National Synchoretron Light Source II (NSLS-II) at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
