Carbon nanotubes: functionalisation and their application in chemical sensors
Mohd Nurazzi Norizan,Muhammad Harussani Moklis,Siti Zulaikha Ngah Demon,Norhana Abdul Halim,Alinda Samsuri,Imran Syakir Mohamad,Victor Feizal Knight,Norli Abdullah +7 more
TL;DR: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been recognized as a promising material in a wide range of applications, from safety to energy-related devices as mentioned in this paper, but their poor solubility in aqueous and organic solvents has hindered the utilisation and applications of CNTs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene-based Materials in Gas Sensor Applications: A Review
Siti Zulaikha Ngah Demon,Ainnur Izzati Kamisan,Norli Abdullah,Siti Aminah Mohd Noor,Ong Keat Khim,Noor Azilah Mohd Kasim,Muhd Zu Azhan Yahya,Nor Azlian Abdul Manaf,Ahmad Farid Mohd Azmi,Norhana Abdul Halim +9 more
TL;DR: Graphene and chemically modified graphene can be fabricated via numerous routes each with its own merits concerning ease of processability, cost-effectiveness for large-scale production, and also health and safety as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
The frontiers of functionalized graphene-based nanocomposites as chemical sensors
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative Study on Extraction of Cellulose Fiber from Rice Straw Waste from Chemo-Mechanical and Pulping Method
Nur Amira Mamat Razali,Risby Mohd Sohaimi,R. N. Othman,Norlida Abdullah,Siti Zulaikha Ngah Demon,Latifah Jasmani,Wan Md Zin Wan Yunus,Wan Mohd Hanif Wan Ya’acob,Emee Marina Salleh,Mohd Nurazzi Norizan,Norhana Abdul Halim +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , two routes of extraction and treatment were performed via the pulping (Route 1) and chemo-mechanical methods (Route 2), in order to discover comparative characteristics of the synthesized cellulose fiber.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterojunctions of rGO/Metal Oxide Nanocomposites as Promising Gas-Sensing Materials—A Review
Mohd Nurazzi Norizan,Norlida Abdullah,Norhana Abdul Halim,Siti Zulaikha Ngah Demon,Imran Syakir Mohamad +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explored the hybridization technique through heterojunction configurations of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) with metal oxides, which showed promising improvement and a synergistic effect on the gas-sensing capacity, particularly at room temperature sensitivity and selectivity, even at low concentrations of the target gas.
