TL;DR: A screening of more than 1,500 drug-resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis revealed evolutionary patterns characteristic of positive selection for three alanine racemase (Alr) mutations, which demonstrated that these mutations likely confer resistance to d-cycloserine.
