Some methodological and training/funding perspectives on the future of personality research

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide some methodological and training/funding perspectives on the future of personality research, and some potential unanticipated costs for core personality research of increased emphasis on grant funding at many universities are considered.
Journal ArticleDOI

Personalism and cognitive labels as determinants of attitude attribution.

TL;DR: An experiment was conducted to test hypotheses derived from Jones and Davis’ (1965) theory of correspondent inferences in conjunction with research on emotional misattribution effects, and showed that the subjects who read the more personal communication made more extreme attributions concerning the attitude of the author of the essay than did the subjects Who read the less personal communication.

Alternatives to Randomized

TL;DR: In this paper, alternative design and statistical approaches that permit testing causal hypotheses and present current empirical evidence related to alternative designs are described and compared. But they do not address the problem of causal effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
