Suspicious human activity recognition from surveillance video is an active research area of image processing and computer vision. Through the visual surveillance, human activities can be monitored in sensitive and public areas such as bus stations, railway stations, airports, banks, shopping malls, school and colleges, parking lots, roads, etc. to prevent terrorism, theft, accidents and illegal parking, vandalism, fighting, chain snatching, crime and other suspicious activities. It is very difficult to watch public places continuously, therefore an intelligent video surveillance is required that can monitor the human activities in real-time and categorize them as usual and unusual activities; and can generate an alert. Recent decade witnessed a good number of publications in the field of visual surveillance to recognize the abnormal activities. Furthermore, a few surveys can be seen in the literature for the different abnormal activities recognition; but none of them have addressed different abnormal activities in a review. In this paper, we present the state-of-the-art which demonstrates the overall progress of suspicious activity recognition from the surveillance videos in the last decade. We include a brief introduction of the suspicious human activity recognition with its issues and challenges. This paper consists of six abnormal activities such as abandoned object detection, theft detection, fall detection, accidents and illegal parking detection on road, violence activity detection, and fire detection. In general, we have discussed all the steps those have been followed to recognize the human activity from the surveillance videos in the literature; such as foreground object extraction, object detection based on tracking or non-tracking methods, feature extraction, classification; activity analysis and recognition. The objective of this paper is to provide the literature review of six different suspicious activity recognition systems with its general framework to the researchers of this field.

Suspicious human activity recognition: a review

This paper dispenses an exhaustive review on deep learning techniques used in the prognosis of eight different neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders such as stroke, alzheimer, parkinson’s, epilepsy, autism, migraine, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis. These diseases are critical, life-threatening and in most of the cases may lead to other precarious human disorders. Deep learning techniques are emerging soft computing technique which has been lucratively used to unravel different real-life problems such as pattern recognition (Face, Emotion, and Speech), traffic management, drug discovery, disease diagnosis, and network intrusion detection. This study confers the discipline, frameworks, and methodologies used by different deep learning techniques to diagnose different human neurological disorders. Here, one hundred and thirty-six different articles related to neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders diagnosed using different deep learning techniques are studied. The morbidity and mortality rate of major neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders has also been delineated. The performance and publication trend of different deep learning techniques employed in the investigation of these diseases has been examined and analyzed. Different performance metrics like accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity have also been examined. The research implication, challenges and the future directions related to the study have also been highlighted. Eventually, the research breaches are identified and it is witnessed that there is more scope in the diagnosis of migraine, cerebral palsy and stroke using different deep learning models. Likewise, there is a potential opportunity to use and explore the performance of Restricted Boltzmann Machine, Deep Boltzmann Machine and Deep Belief Network for diagnosis of different human neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders.

In this paper, we propose an effective mixed method approach for classification of brain tumor tissues. Here proposed system will be using Genetic Algorithm for feature Extraction and Support Vector machine for classification. These features are compared with stored features. Feature extraction is a method used to capture visual content of the image. The feature extraction is the method to signify raw image in its concentrated form to facilitate decision making such as pattern classification. The choice of features, which compose a big difficulty in classification techniques, is solved by using Genetic Algorithm. These features along with Support Vector Machine will be used to classify that tumor is normal and abnormal. If the tumor is get detected then by detecting the mean, mod, median of the tumor region we will classify this tumor tissues in gliomas, miningiomas, pitutatory, nerve sheath tumor etc. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated on a series of brain tumor images.
