Multivariable association discovery in population-scale meta-omics studies.
Himel Mallick,Himel Mallick,Ali Rahnavard,Lauren J. McIver,Lauren J. McIver,Siyuan Ma,Siyuan Ma,Yancong Zhang,Yancong Zhang,Long H. Nguyen,Timothy L. Tickle,George Weingart,George Weingart,Boyu Ren,Boyu Ren,Emma Schwager,Emma Schwager,Suvo Chatterjee,Kelsey N. Thompson,Jeremy E. Wilkinson,Ayshwarya Subramanian,Ayshwarya Subramanian,Yiren Lu,Levi Waldron,Joseph N. Paulson,Eric A. Franzosa,Eric A. Franzosa,Héctor Corrada Bravo,Curtis Huttenhower,Curtis Huttenhower +29 more
TL;DR: MaAsLin 2 (Microbiome Multivariable Associations with Linear Models) as mentioned in this paper uses generalized linear and mixed models to accommodate a wide variety of modern epidemiological studies, including cross-sectional and longitudinal designs, as well as a variety of data types with or without covariates and repeated measurements.

Predictors of 30-Day Unplanned Readmission After Carotid Artery Stenting Using Artificial Intelligence
Amod Amritphale,Ranojoy Chatterjee,Suvo Chatterjee,Nupur Amritphale,Ali Rahnavard,G. Mustafa Awan,Bassam Omar,Gregg C. Fonarow +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a deep neural network-based artificial intelligence prediction model was proposed to identify a subgroup of patients undergoing carotid artery stenting who are at risk for short-term unplanned readmission.
Journal ArticleDOI
Placental multi-omics integration identifies candidate functional genes for birthweight
Fasil Tekola-Ayele,Xuehuo Zeng,Suvo Chatterjee,Marion Ouidir,Corina Lesseur,Ke Hao,Jian Chen,Markos Tesfaye,Carmen J. Marsit,Tsegaselassie Workalemahu,Ronald J. Wapner +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the causal pathway from a genetic variant to birthweight by integrating placental methylation and gene expression with established GWAS loci for birthweight was investigated, which revealed candidate functional pathways that underpin the genetic regulation of birthweight via placental epigenetic and transcriptomic mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic and in utero environmental contributions to DNA methylation variation in placenta.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify and functionally characterize placental variably methylated regions (VMRs), which are regions in the epigenome with high inter-individual methylation variability, and investigate the contributions of fetal genetic loci and 12 prenatal environmental factors (maternal cardiometabolic-,psychosocial-, demographic and obstetric-related) on methylation at each VMR.
