Journal ArticleDOI

EP 76. Striatal dopamine transporter availability and clinical course in Parkinson’s disease patients with deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus within one-year follow-up

TL;DR: DAT availability one-year after deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus is stable, however, DAT availability pre-op did not predict the clinical outcome after this follow-up period under STN-DBS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Region-specific glucose metabolism in the brain predicts cachexia syndrome in patients with lung cancer

TL;DR: Ziel et al. as mentioned in this paper found that glucose metabolism in distinct cerebral regions was associated with anorexia, weight loss, malnutrition, and cachexia in lung cancer patients, and showed that cachexia has considerable impact on quality of life and survival.

Interaktion von Schilddrüsenhormonen mit dem braunem Fettgewebe

TL;DR: Fundamentals in BAT biology are described to highlight some of the clinical and preclinical studies performed on humans and rodents with a focus on TH, BAT and PET/CT, and bridge these data with the own studies within the DFG thyroid transact priority program.
Journal ArticleDOI

HPA Axis Responsiveness Associates with Central Serotonin Transporter Availability in Human Obesity and Non-Obesity Controls

TL;DR: The present study supports a serotonergic-neuroendocrine association, which regionally differs between OB and NO, and may have implications for other diseases with dysregulated stress axis responsiveness, and for potential pharmacologic interven-tions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pulmonary Embolism Detected by Bone Scintigraphy in a Patient With Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma.

TL;DR: In this article , a CT scan was performed in a 64-year-old woman with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma to exclude osseous metastases.
