Journal ArticleDOI
Peptidomimetic targeting of critical androgen receptor–coregulator interactions in prostate cancer
Preethi Ravindranathan,Tae-Kyung Lee,Lin Yang,Lin Yang,Margaret M. Centenera,Lisa M. Butler,Wayne D. Tilley,Jer Tsong Hsieh,Jung-Mo Ahn,Ganesh V. Raj +9 more
TL;DR: The disruption of specific protein-protein interactions involving LXXLL motifs in androgen receptor-coregulator proteins such as PELP1 is reported using a novel, small molecule peptidomimetic (D2) that is stable, non-toxic and efficiently taken up by prostate cancer cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mouse Spermatogenesis Requires Classical and Nonclassical Testosterone Signaling
Corey Toocheck,Terri Clister,John Shupe,Chelsea M. Crum,Preethi Ravindranathan,Tae-Kyung Lee,Jung-Mo Ahn,Ganesh V. Raj,Meena Sukhwani,Kyle E. Orwig,William H. Walker +10 more
TL;DR: The first evidence that nonclassical testosterone signaling occurs in vivo as the MAP kinase cascade is rapidly activated in Sertoli cells within the testis by increasing testosterone levels in the rat is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Estrogen receptor coregulator binding modulators (ERXs) effectively target estrogen receptor positive human breast cancers
Ganesh V. Raj,Gangadhara R. Sareddy,Gangadhara R. Sareddy,Shihong Ma,Tae-Kyung Lee,Suryavathi Viswanadhapalli,Rui Li,Xihui Liu,Shino Murakami,Chien Cheng Chen,Wan Ru Lee,Monica Mann,Samaya Rajeshwari Krishnan,Bikash Manandhar,Vijay K. Gonugunta,Douglas W. Strand,Rajeshwar Rao Tekmal,Rajeshwar Rao Tekmal,Jung-Mo Ahn,Ratna K. Vadlamudi,Ratna K. Vadlamudi +20 more
TL;DR: This first-in-class agent, with its novel mechanism of action of disrupting critical protein-protein interactions, overcomes the limitations of current therapies and may be clinically translatable for patients with therapy-sensitive and therapy-resistant breast cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solid-phase synthesis of tris-benzamides as α-helix mimetics.
Tae-Kyung Lee,Jung-Mo Ahn +1 more
TL;DR: An efficient solid-phase synthetic method was developed to produce tris-benzamides that allowed the facile and rapid construction of α-helix mimetics that would facilitate the identification of small molecules for target proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI
Estrogen receptor coregulator binding modulator (ERX-11) enhances the activity of CDK4/6 inhibitors against estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers.
Suryavathi Viswanadhapalli,Shihong Ma,Gangadhara R. Sareddy,Tae-Kyung Lee,Mengxing Li,Collin Gilbreath,Xihui Liu,Yiliao Luo,Uday P. Pratap,Mei Zhou,Eliot B. Blatt,Kara Kassees,Carlos L. Arteaga,Prasanna G. Alluri,Manjeet K. Rao,Susan T. Weintraub,Rajeshwar Rao Tekmal,Jung-Mo Ahn,Ganesh V. Raj,Ratna K. Vadlamudi +19 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that ERX-11 inhibited the proliferation of BCa cells resistant to both endocrine therapy and CDK4/6 inhibitors in a dose-dependent manner and that the combination of ERx-11 with a CDK 4/6 inhibitor may represent a viable therapeutic approach.
