Deposits of clastic carbonate-dominated (calciclastic) sedimentary slope systems in the rock record have been identified mostly as linearly-consistent carbonate apron deposits, even though most ancient clastic carbonate slope deposits fit the submarine fan systems better. Calciclastic submarine fans are consequently rarely described and are poorly understood. Subsequently, very little is known especially in mud-dominated calciclastic submarine fan systems. Presented in this study are a sedimentological core and petrographic characterisation of samples from eleven boreholes from the Lower Carboniferous of Bowland Basin (Northwest England) that reveals a >250 m thick calciturbidite complex deposited in a calciclastic submarine fan setting. Seven facies are recognised from core and thin section characterisation and are grouped into three carbonate turbidite sequences. They include: 1) Calciturbidites, comprising mostly of highto low-density, wavy-laminated bioclast-rich facies; 2) low-density densite mudstones which are characterised by planar laminated and unlaminated muddominated facies; and 3) Calcidebrites which are muddy or hyper-concentrated debrisflow deposits occurring as poorly-sorted, chaotic, mud-supported floatstones. 本論文は, 視覚情報の大域性を利用して, 未知環境内を探索するローカルパスプラニング方法について述べる. 本移動ロボットシステムは, あいまいな環境において効率よく経路探索を行う, 階層的プラニングシステムを持っている. プラニングシステムは, グローバルプランナとローカルプランナからなっている. グローバルプランナは, スタート地点からゴールまでの大域的なプラニングを行い, 到達可能なサブゴールのシーケンスを出力する. ローカルプランナは, サブゴール間の局所的なプラニングを行う. 本論文では, 視覚センサを用いたローカルパスプラニングアルゴリズムを提案する. それは, 未知の障害物を回避するために視覚センサを用いて環境情報を取り入れ, 回避ポイントを自動生成するものである. 3次元グラフィックスを用いたシミュレーションを行い, あまり複雑でない環境においてその方法の有効性を示す. さらに, 実験用移動ロボットを用いて未知障害物回避実験を行い, 提案したローカルパスプラニング手法の実験的検証を行う.

Path Searching for Mobile Robot by Local Planning

Intrazeolite molybdenum sulfide catalysts (MoSx/NaY) were prepared by a CVD technique using Mo(CO)6. On the basis of the Mo-Mo atomic distance, it has been shown that a MoS3-like molybdenum sulfide dimer clusters are formed when the Si/Al ratio is between 3.5 and 2.4. When the Si/Al ratio was very high, finely dispersed MoS2 particles were formed. The specific activity of molybdenum sulfide clusters for the HDS of thiophene decreased as the Mo-Mo atomic distance increased. It has been substantiated that the morphology, structure, and catalytic activity of intrazeolite molybdenum sulfides are controlled by the host zeolite composition.

Structure Control of Molybdenum Sulfide Clusters Encaged in Zeolite Prepared by a CVD Technique

Hydrogenation of butadiene was conducted at 473K on Co, Mo and Co-Mo sulfide catalysts supported on NaY and Al2O3 as a probe-reaction to characterize the active metal species in the binary sulfide catalysts at a relatively high temperature. The distributions of butene were considerably different as compared among Mo and Co sulfides; Mo sulfide catalysts providing almost an equilibrium-distribution of butenes, and Co sulfide catalysts showing 1-butene-rich compositions. With NaY-supported Co-Mo binary sulfide catalysts, prepared by using metal carbonyls as precursors, the butene distribution was Co-like, clearly indicating that the hydrogenation occurred on the Co sites, in spite of the simultaneous presence of the same amounts of the Co and Mo sulfide clusters. In the case of an Al2O3-supported Mo sulfide catalyst decorated with Co sulfide species, using Co-carbonyl, it is suggested that most of the Mo sulfide sites are modified by the Co species, although some Mo sites are used for the reaction. Comparing the distributions of butene in the hydrogenation of butadiene with that in the isomerization of 1-butene, it is concluded that the isomerization of butenes takes place on Mo sulfide sites in the presence of butadiene, while the isomerization on Co sites is significantly retarded by the presence of butadiene.

Hydrogenation of Butadiene for the Characterization of Co-Mo Sulfide Catalysts

In recent years, to cope with low carbon society and diversification of individual mobility, new kinds of vehicles have received a lot of attention to expand our mobility. This paper proposes a new concept of vehicle named portable personal vehicle. The proposed portable personal vehicle is small and light enough, which enables not only to carry the driver but also to be carried by the driver. The proposed portable personal vehicle can easily overcome barriers in mixed traffic such as university campus, airports, shopping malls etc. It is harmless to sur rounding pedestrians. This paper describes a developed inverted pendulum vehicle based on the concept of portable personal vehicle.
