Journal ArticleDOI
Alkyl decorated metal-organic frameworks for selective trapping of ethane from ethylene above ambient pressures.
Andreas Schneemann,Yuan Jing,Jack D. Evans,Takashi Toyao,Yuh Hijikata,Yuichi Kamiya,Ken-ichi Shimizu,Ken-ichi Shimizu,Nicholas C. Burtch,Shin Ichiro Noro +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a series of Zn2(X-bdc)2(dabco) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) were used for the adsorptive removal of ethane from ethylene streams.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective C3-alkenylation of oxindole with aldehydes using heterogeneous CeO2 catalyst
Md. Nurnobi Rashed,Abeda Sultana Touchy,Chandan Chaudhari,Jaewan Jeon,S. M. A. Hakim Siddiki,Takashi Toyao,Takashi Toyao,Ken-ichi Shimizu,Ken-ichi Shimizu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a commercially available CeO2 is an active and reusable catalyst for the C3-selective alkenylation of oxindole with aldehydes under solvent-free conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coordinated Water as New Binding Sites for the Separation of Light Hydrocarbons in Metal-Organic Frameworks with Open Metal Sites.
Pia Vervoorts,Pia Vervoorts,Andreas Schneemann,Inke Hante,Jenny Pirillo,Yuh Hijikata,Takashi Toyao,Takashi Toyao,Kenichi Kon,Ken-ichi Shimizu,Ken-ichi Shimizu,Takayoshi Nakamura,Shin Ichiro Noro,Roland A. Fischer +13 more
TL;DR: Density func-tional theory calculations of the binding energies prove that the water molecules adsorbed to the metal centers introduce new binding sites for the adsorbates, showing that the presence of water does not necessarily lead to a decreased selectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Water oxidation reaction promoted by MIL-101(Fe) photoanode under visible light irradiation
Zakary Lionet,Yusuke Kamata,Shun Nishijima,Takashi Toyao,Tae-Ho Kim,Yu Horiuchi,Soo Wohn Lee,Masaya Matsuoka +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photoelectrodes based on MIL-101(Fe) containing photo-active iron(III) clusters have been fabricated by using a drop-casting method and applied to photo-electrochemical water oxidation as photoanodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
FT-IR study of the reaction mechanisms for photocatalytic reduction of NO with CO promoted by various single-site photocatalysts
Takashi Toyao,Jun Morishima,Masakazu Saito,Yu Horiuchi,Takashi Kamegawa,Gianmario Martra,Salvatore Coluccia,Masaya Matsuoka,Masakazu Anpo +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of Fourier transform infrared investigations reveal that differences in photocatalytic activities are due to different reactivity of reactants-adsorbed transition metal oxides in M/SiO2.
