Quasi-Free Methyl Rotation in Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8

TL;DR: Using neutron inelastic scattering and diffraction, the quantum methyl rotation in zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 is studied and it is shown that the barrier to internal rotation is small compared to almost all methylated compounds in the solid state and that methyl-methyl coupling is negligible.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tc vs Carrier Concentration in Cubic Fulleride Superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of carrier concentration on fulleride superconductivity is studied by x ray, Raman, magnetization, and ESR of two new cubic families: (1) Na and Rb.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nature and Tunability of Enhanced Hydrogen Binding in Metal-Organic Frameworks with Exposed Transition Metal Sites

TL;DR: In this article, the hydrogen binding in Mn4Cl−MOF is not of the expected Kubas type because there is no significant charge transfer from TM to H2, no evidence of any H2-σ* Mn-d orbital hybridization, no significant H−H bond elongation, and no significant shift in H −H stretching mode frequency.
Journal ArticleDOI

A NbO-type metal-organic framework exhibiting high deliverable capacity for methane storage.

TL;DR: A copper-based NbO-type metal-organic framework constructed from a tetracarboxylate incorporating phenylethyne as a spacer exhibited an exceptionally high methane working capacity of 184 cm(3) (STP) cm(-3) for methane storage.
