Journal ArticleDOI
Differential retention of lymphocyte subpopulations (B and T cells) on the microphase separated surface of polystyrene/polyamine graft copolymers
Kazunori Kataoka,Teruo Okano,Y. Sakurai,Takao Nishimura,Satoshi Inoue,Tetsuo Watanabe,Atsushi Maruyama,Teiji Tsuruta +7 more
TL;DR: The retention behaviour of lymphnode lymphocytes was studied as a function of contact time by using a column method: the cell suspension was passed through a “column” packed with polymer-coated glass beads, indicating that preferential retention of B cells over T cells took place on these surfaces.

B-cell separating material, separator and process therefor
Shohei Inoue,Kataoka Kazunori,Mizuo Maeda,Atsushi Maruyama,Takao Nishimura,Okano Mitsuo,Yasuhisa Sakurai,Teiji Tsuruta,Tetsuo Watanabe +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a lymphocyte suspension is brought into contact with a separating material made of a water-insoluble solid where amino groups unevenly distributes on its surface in a flow state to effect rapid and effective separation of B-cell from the suspension.
