Outcomes After Hepatic and Pulmonary Metastasectomies Compared With Pulmonary Metastasectomy Alone in Patients With Colorectal Cancer Metastasis to Liver and Lungs

TL;DR: Resection of pulmonary colorectal metastases may increase survival, however, the combination of liver and lung metastasectomies had a worse prognosis than pulmonary metastasectomy alone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy of irreversible EGFR-TKIs for the uncommon secondary resistant EGFR mutations L747S, D761Y, and T854A

TL;DR: In conclusion, this work suggests that irreversible EGFR-TKIs, especially third-generation EG FR-TkIs, can be effective against uncommon secondary mutations and that switching to third- Generation EGFR -TK is could be a promising treatment strategy for patients with acquired resistance because of these uncommon secondary mutation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surgical Outcomes of Lung Cancer in Patients with Combined Pulmonary Fibrosis and Emphysema

TL;DR: Patients with lung cancer and CPFE had poor prognoses regardless of apparently good pulmonary function and showed quite high postoperative mortality rates, and a lower %VC that might reflect the severity of pulmonary fibrosis was associated with poor prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

p53 mutations in non-small-cell lung cancers occurring in individuals without a past history of active smoking.

TL;DR: Analysis of 69 non-small-cell lung cancer specimens from individuals without any history of active smoking showed absence of significant relationship between p53 mutations and age, sex, histological type or disease stage, and comparison of mutational spectra demonstrated G:C to T:A transversions to be significantly less frequent in non-smokers than in smokers.

nodules: the differences between nodules with and without growth

TL;DR: Three fourths of resected GGNs were positive for EGFR, KRAS, ALK, or HER2 mutations, and Quadruple-negative tumors were associated with a lack of GGN growth, whereas EGFR mutation-positive tumors displayed a correlation with growth.
