Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of elephant grass silage with the addition of cassava scrapings

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the effects of adding cassava scrapings on gas and effluent losses, dry matter recovery, pH, contents of N-NH3, organic acids and volatile fatty acids and the bromatological composition of elephant grass silages.
Journal ArticleDOI

An evaluation of the effectiveness of a chemical additive based on sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and sodium nitrite on the fermentation and aerobic stability of corn silage.

TL;DR: Treating whole-plant corn with SSL can improve the aerobic stability of corn silage made in North America, and the effect can be observed as soon as 5 d after ensiling, compared with other treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of regrowth interval and a microbial inoculant on the fermentation profile and dry matter recovery of guinea grass silages.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that guinea grass plants harvested after 55 d of regrowth contain a LAB population sufficiently large to ensure good fermentation and increase the DM recovery, and the use of microbial inoculant further enhanced the fermentation of Guinea grass at all stages of reg growth by improving theDM recovery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Características agronômicas e eficiência do uso da chuva em cultivares de sorgo no semiárido

TL;DR: The genotypes of sorghum silage showed high use efficiency of rain can and productivity, which is recommended by the IPA 1011 increased participation panicle, and no differences had been observed between genotypes for the production of natural matter and dry matter production.
