Survival and morbidity of preterm children born at 22 through 34 weeks' gestation in France in 2011: results of the EPIPAGE-2 cohort study.
Pierre-Yves Ancel,François Goffinet,Pierre Kuhn,Bruno Langer,Jacqueline Matis,Xavier Hernandorena,Pierre Chabanier,Laurence Joly-Pedespan,Bénédicte Lecomte,Françoise Vendittelli,Michel Dreyfus,Bernard Guillois,Antoine Burguet,Pierre Sagot,Jacques Sizun,Alain Beuchée,Florence Rouget,Amélie Favreau,Elie Saliba,Nathalie Bednarek,Patrice Morville,Gérard Thiriez,Loïc Marpeau,Stéphane Marret,Gilles Kayem,Xavier Durrmeyer,Michèle Granier,Olivier Baud,Pierre-Henri Jarreau,Delphine Mitanchez,Pascal Boileau,Pierre Boulot,Gilles Cambonie,Hubert Daudé,Antoine Bédu,Fabienne Mons,Jeanne Fresson,Rachel Vieux,Catherine Alberge,Catherine Arnaud,Christophe Vayssière,Patrick Truffert,Véronique Pierrat,Damien Subtil,Claude D'Ercole,Catherine Gire,Umberto Simeoni,André Bongain,Loïc Sentilhes,Jean-Christophe Rozé,Jean Gondry,André Leke,Michel Deiber,Olivier Claris,Jean-Charles Picaud,Anne Ego,Thierry Debillon,Anne Poulichet,Eliane Coliné,Anne Favre,Olivier Fléchelles,Sylvain Samperiz,Duksha Ramful,Bernard Branger,Valérie Benhammou,Laurence Foix-L’Hélias,Laetitia Marchand-Martin,Monique Kaminski +67 more
TL;DR: A substantial improvement in survival in France for newborns born at 25 through 31 weeks' gestation was accompanied by an important reduction in severe morbidity, but survival remained rare before 25 weeks, and improvement at extremely low gestational age may be possible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development and initial validation of the EDIN scale, a new tool for assessing prolonged pain in preterm infants
TL;DR: The validation data suggest that the EDIN is appropriate for assessing prolonged pain in preterm infants, and further studies are warranted to obtain further evidence of construct validity by comparing scores in less extreme situations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrauterine Infection Induces Programmed Cell Death in Rabbit Periventricular White Matter
Thierry Debillon,Christèle Gras-Leguen,Veronique Verielle,N. Winer,Jocelyne Caillon,Jean-Christophe Rozé,Pierre Gressens +6 more
TL;DR: The high reproducibility of white matter damage in the model should permit further studies aimed at unraveling the molecular mechanisms of periventricular leukomalacia to be tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cause of Preterm Birth as a Prognostic Factor for Mortality.
Pierre Delorme,François Goffinet,Pierre-Yves Ancel,Laurence Foix-LʼHélias,Bruno Langer,Cécile Lebeaux,Laetitia Marchand,Jennifer Zeitlin,Anne Ego,Catherine Arnaud,Christophe Vayssière,Elsa Lorthe,Xavier Durrmeyer,Loïc Sentilhes,Damien Subtil,Thierry Debillon,Norbert Winer,Monique Kaminski,Claude DʼErcole,Michel Dreyfus,Bruno Carbonne,Gilles Kayem +21 more
TL;DR: It is found that among neonates born alive before 34 weeks of gestation, only those born because of suspected fetal growth restriction have a higher mortality risk than those born after preterm labor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dopamine effects on pulmonary artery pressure in hypotensive preterm infants with patent ductus arteriosus.
Jean-Michel Liet,Cécile Boscher,Christèle Gras-Leguen,Véronique Gournay,Thierry Debillon,Jean-Christophe Rozé +5 more
TL;DR: Dopamine has variable effects on pulmonary/systemic mean arterial pressure ratio with half the neonates showing an increase in pulmonary pressure relative to systemic pressure.
