Evolution of structural properties of iron oxide nano particles during temperature treatment from 250 °C–900 °C: X-ray diffraction and Fe K-shell pre-edge X-ray absorption study
Debajeet K. Bora,Debajeet K. Bora,Artur Braun,Artur Braun,Selma Erat,Selma Erat,Olga V. Safonova,Thomas Graule,Thomas Graule,Edwin C. Constable +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structural properties of the nano particles with the heat treatment temperature was studied by X-ray diffraction and Fe K-shell Xray absorption spectroscopy, showing that at lower annealing temperatures the nano particle comprise both maghemite and hematite phases.
Journal ArticleDOI
High solids loading ceramic colloidal dispersions in UV curable media via comb-polyelectrolyte surfactants.
TL;DR: A general scheme for relatively high loading/low viscosity dispersions of nanometer and submicrometer particles in UV curable resins using comb-polyelectrolyte surfactants is presented and particle stabilization and transfer schemes, rheological behavior and UV curing characteristics are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrothermal Treatment of a Hematite Film Leads to Highly Oriented Faceted Nanostructures with Enhanced Photocurrents
Debajeet K. Bora,Debajeet K. Bora,Artur Braun,Rolf Erni,Giuseppino Fortunato,Thomas Graule,Thomas Graule,Edwin C. Constable +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple one-pot hydrothermal method is described for conveying a dipcoatec hematite nano particle film into an array of nanorods with superimposed flowerlike structures suitable for water splitting in photoelectrochemical cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tailoring the morphology of WO3 films with substitutional cation doping: Effect on the photoelectrochemical properties
Renata Solarska,Renata Solarska,Bruce D. Alexander,Artur Braun,Rafal Jurczakowski,Giuseppino Fortunato,Michael Stiefel,Thomas Graule,Thomas Graule,Jan Augustynski +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of a number of dopants (lithium, silicon, ruthenium, molybdenum and tin) upon the transparency, crystallinity, porosity and conductivity of mesoporous WO3 films was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nano-Sized Copper (Oxide) on Alumina Granules for Water Filtration: Effect of Copper Oxidation State on Virus Removal Performance.
Julia Maria Mazurków,Julia Maria Mazurków,Nur Sena Yüzbasi,Kamila W. Domagala,Kamila W. Domagala,Stefan Pfeiffer,Stefan Pfeiffer,Dariusz Kata,Thomas Graule,Thomas Graule +9 more
TL;DR: Development of spray-dried alumina granules modified with copper (oxide) nanoparticles and critically assess the effect of copper oxidation state on virus removal capacity are reported.
