TL;DR: 2004 consensus statements on the management of ovarian cancer : final document of the 3rd International Gynecologic Cancer Intergroup Ovarian Cancer Consensus Conference (GCIG OCCC).
Journal ArticleDOI
Sequential adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy in endometrial cancer - Results from two randomised studies
Thomas Högberg,Mauro Signorelli,Carlos Freire de Oliveira,Roldano Fossati,Andrea Lissoni,Bengt Sorbe,Håkan Andersson,Seija Grénman,Caroline Lundgren,Per Rosenberg,Karin Boman,Bengt Tholander,Giovanni Scambia,Nicholas S. Reed,Gennaro Cormio,Germana Tognon,Jackie Clarke,Thomasz Sawicki,Paolo Zola,Gunnar B. Kristensen +19 more
TL;DR: Addition of adjuvant chemotherapy to radiation improves progression-free survival in operated endometrial cancer patients with no residual tumour and a high-risk profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Granulosa Cell Tumors of the Ovary: Prognostic Factors and Outcome
TL;DR: The total survival with granulosa and theca cell tumors of the ovary is better than that with epithelial ovarian cancer as the hormonal symptoms make an early diagnosis possible and the mitotic rate is the most important prognostic factor at treatment planning.
Journal ArticleDOI
A randomized phase-III study on adjuvant treatment with radiation (RT) {+/-} chemotherapy (CT) in early-stage high-risk endometrial cancer (NSGO-EC-9501/EORTC 55991)
Thomas Högberg,Per Rosenberg,G. Kristensen,C. F. de Oliveira,R. de Pont Christensen,Bengt Sorbe,Caroline Lundgren,T. Salmi,Håkan Andersson,Nicholas S. Reed +9 more
TL;DR: A large number of patients with surgical stage I, II, IIIA, or IIIC cancer were eligible if they had a sufficiently high risk for micrometastatic disease to qualify for adjuvant therapy, while some patients had only one of these risk factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized study on adjuvant chemotherapy in stage I high-risk ovarian cancer with evaluation of DNA-ploidy as prognostic instrument
Claes G. Tropé,Janne Kærn,Thomas Högberg,Vera M. Abeler,Bjørn Hagen,Gunnar B. Kristensen,M. Onsrud,Erik O. Pettersen,Per Rosenberg,Roar Sandvei,Kolbein Sundfør,Ignace Vergote +11 more
TL;DR: The study was inconclusive as regards the question of adjuvant chemotherapy, and DNA-ploidy adds objective independent prognostic information regarding both DFS and DSS in early ovarian cancer.
