Amplification and deletion of topoisomerase IIα associate with ErbB-2 amplification and affect sensitivity to topoisomerase II inhibitor doxorubicin in breast cancer
Tero A.H. Järvinen,Minna Tanner,Virpi Rantanen,Maarit Bärlund,Åke Borg,Seija Grénman,Jorma Isola +6 more
TL;DR: TopoIIalpha gene amplification and deletion are common in ErbB-2-amplified breast cancer and are associated with increased or decreased sensitivity to topoII inhibitors in vitro, respectively.

TL;DR: Addition of adjuvant chemotherapy to radiation improves progression-free survival in operated endometrial cancer patients with no residual tumour and a high-risk profile.
Journal Article
Frequent amplification of chromosomal region 20q12-q13 in ovarian cancer.
Minna Tanner,Seija Grénman,Anjila Koul,Oskar T. Johannsson,Paul S. Meltzer,Tanja Pejovic,Åke Borg,Jorma Isola +7 more
TL;DR: The high frequency of gene amplification at chromosomal region 20q12-q13 suggests that the genes amplified therein may play a central role in the pathogenesis of sporadic and hereditary ovarian carcinoma.
