NCCN Guidelines® Insights: Multiple Myeloma, Version 3.2022.
Natalie S. Callander,Muhamed Baljevic,Kehinde Adekola,Larry D. Anderson,Erica L. Campagnaro,Jorge J. Castillo,Caitlin Costello,Srinivas Devarakonda,Noura B. Elsedawy,Matthew Faiman,Alfred L. Garfall,Kelly N. Godby,Jens Hillengass,Leona Holmberg,Myo Htut,Carol Ann Huff,Malin Hultcrantz,Yubin Kang,Sarah Larson,Michaela Liedtke,Thomas Martin,James L. Omel,Douglas W. Sborov,K. Shin,Keith Stockerl-Goldstein,Donna M. Weber,R. Berardi,Rashmi Kumar,Shaji Kumar +28 more
TL;DR: Some of the important updates/changes specific to the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma in the 2022 version of the NCCN guidelines are highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI
A key role for a 145-kDa cytosolic protein in the stimulation of Ca(2+)-dependent secretion by protein kinase C.
TL;DR: The results indicate that PKC is neither necessary nor sufficient for Ca( 2+)-activated secretion, whereas other cytosolic proteins are required; and the stimulation of Ca(2+)- activated secretion by PKC may be largely mediated through the phosphorylation of p145, a recently characterized 145-kDa brain protein.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synaptotagmins I and IX function redundantly in regulated exocytosis but not endocytosis in PC12 cells.
Kara L. Lynch,Thomas Martin +1 more
TL;DR: It is found that full downregulation of synaptotagmin I and IX, which co-reside on vesicles in PC12 cells, completely abolished Ca2+-dependent vesicle exocytosis, which indicated a redundancy in function for these isoforms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel Interactions of CAPS (Ca2+-dependent Activator Protein for Secretion) with the Three Neuronal SNARE Proteins Required for Vesicle Fusion
TL;DR: The results suggest that SNARE complex formation promoted by CAPS may be mediated by direct interactions of CAPS with each of the three SNARE proteins required for vesicle exocytosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D conformal HDR brachytherapy and external beam irradiation combined with temporary androgen deprivation in the treatment of localized prostate cancer.
Thomas Martin,Sandra Röddiger,Ralf Kurek,Thomas Dannenberg,Oliver Eckart,Christos Kolotas,Reinhard Heyd,B. Rogge,Dimos Baltas,U.W. Tunn,Nikolaos Zamboglou +10 more
TL;DR: 3D conformal HDR brachytherapy and EBRT combined with temporary androgen deprivation is an effective treatment modality for prostate cancer with minimal associated toxicity and encouraging biochemical control rates after a median follow-up of 2.6 years.
