Journal ArticleDOI
Anatomical-based partial volume correction for low-dose dedicated cardiac SPECT/CT.
Hui Liu,Chung Chan,Yariv Grobshtein,Tianyu Ma,Yaqiang Liu,Shi Wang,Mitchel R. Stacy,Albert J. Sinusas,Chi Liu +8 more
TL;DR: The simulation results showed the proposed iterative PVC methods provide superior performance than other existing PVC methods in terms of image quality, quantitative accuracy, and reproducibility (standard deviation), particularly for low-count data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of a Three-Dimensional Line-of-Response Probability Density Function System Matrix for PET
Rutao Yao,Ranjith M. Ramachandra,Neeraj Mahajan,Vinay Rathod,Noel Gunasekar,A Panse,Tianyu Ma,Yiqiang Jian,Jianhua Yan,Richard E. Carson +9 more
TL;DR: The 3D LOR-PDF approach is an effective method to generate an accurate and compact system matrix, however, when used directly in expectation-maximization based list-mode iterative reconstruction algorithms such as MOLAR, its superiority is not clear.
Journal ArticleDOI
Choice of crystal surface finishing for a dual-ended readout depth-of-interaction (DOI) detector.
TL;DR: Both the simulation and experimental results show that choosing a diffuse type in either surface polishing or reflector would improve DOI resolution but degrade energy resolution, which provides useful guidance in DER DOI detector design in choosing the crystal surface finishing and DOI calculation methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved discrimination between benign and malignant LDCT screening-detected lung nodules with dynamic over static 18 F-FDG PET as a function of injected dose.
Qing Ye,Jing Wu,Yihuan Lu,Mika Naganawa,Jean-Dominique Gallezot,Tianyu Ma,Yaqiang Liu,Lynn T. Tanoue,Frank C. Detterbeck,Justin Blasberg,Ming-Kai Chen,Michael E. Casey,Richard E. Carson,Chi Liu +13 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that dynamic PET with as little as 1 mCi FDG could provide discrimination between benign and malignant lung nodules with higher than 90% sensitivity and specificity for patients similar to the pilot and simulated population in this study.

High-energy ray laminated type crystal module detector
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-energy ray laminated type crystal module detector is presented, which is formed by alternately arraying at least more than two strip type crystal units with different luminescence decay time along the width direction, wherein the alternate arraying method comprises alternating in one direction and alternating in two directions.
