Journal ArticleDOI
The enhancement and scale up of the extraction of anti-oxidants from Rosmarinus officinalis using ultrasound.
TL;DR: Results indicated that, compared with conventional solvent extraction, the use of ultrasound gives a more effective extraction at lower temperatures with less dependence on the extraction solvent employed and that scale up of the process is possible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large scale sonochemical processing: aspiration and actuality.
TL;DR: The existing uses of power ultrasound in processing are reviewed and the potentials are explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pilot scale sonochemical coating of nanoparticles onto textiles to produce biocidal fabrics
Oleg V. Abramov,Aharon Gedanken,Yuri Koltypin,Nina Perkas,Ilana Perelshtein,Eadaoin M. Joyce,Timothy J. Mason +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and morphology of the metal oxides adhering to the fabric on the coated cotton have been characterized by XRD and HR SEM, and shown to be nanocrystalline oxides (~10-20nm in size).
Journal ArticleDOI
Degradation of dye effluent
TL;DR: In this paper, both basic and acidic dyes were subject to sonolysis, electrolysis, and sonoelectrolysis and only basic dyes are decolorized by ultrasound alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Therapeutic ultrasound an overview
TL;DR: In this review some historical perspectives of therapeutic ultrasound and progress in the field since the early 1990's will be presented.
