Book ChapterDOI
P300 detection based on feature extraction in on-line brain-computer interface
Nikolay Chumerin,Nikolay V. Manyakov,Adrien Combaz,Johan A. K. Suykens,Refet Firat Yazicioglu,Tom Torfs,Patrick Merken,H. P. Neves,Chris Van Hoof,Marc M. Van Hulle +9 more
TL;DR: A new EEG-based wireless brain computer interface with which subjects can "mind-type" text on a computer screen with the additional benefit that its much simpler design supports a power-efficient on-chip implementation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systolic Time Interval Estimation Using Continuous Wave Radar With On-Body Antennas
Dilpreet Buxi,Evelien Hermeling,Marco Mercuri,Fabian Beutel,Roberto Garcia van der Westen,Tom Torfs,Jean-Michel Redoute,Mehmet Rasit Yuce +7 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that CW radar can be used to estimate STIs in ambulatory monitoring and pave way to a potentially more compact method of estimating STIs, which can be integrated into a wearable device.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Robust wireless capacitive ECG system with adaptive signal quality and motion artifact reduction
TL;DR: A robust wireless system for capacitive ECG is presented, which measures electrode-body capacitive impedance, acceleration, and gyroscope signals from the electrodes to be used in motion artifact reduction algorithms.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
10 µm pixel-to-pixel pitch hybrid backside illuminated AlGaN-on-Si imagers for solar blind EUV radiation detection
Pawel E. Malinowski,Jean-Yves Duboz,Piet De Moor,Joachim John,Kyriaki Minoglou,Puneet Srivastava,Ybe Creten,Tom Torfs,Jan Putzeys,Fabrice Semond,Eric Frayssinet,B. Giordanengo,Ali BenMoussa,J.-F. Hochedez,Robert Mertens,Chris Van Hoof +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first measurement results from hybrid AlGaN-on-Si-based Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) imagers with 10 µm pixel-to-pixel pitch were presented.
Proceedings Article
Thermal matching of a thermoelectric energy harvester with the environment and its application in wearable self-powered wireless medical sensors
TL;DR: It is shown that simple equations obtained using electro-thermal analogy allow optimization of energy harvesters to reach their top performance characteristics.
