Journal ArticleDOI
Radio-frequency capacitance spectroscopy of metallic nanoparticles
J. Frake,Shinya Kano,Chiara Ciccarelli,J. Griffiths,Masanori Sakamoto,Toshiharu Teranishi,Yutaka Majima,Charles G. Smith,M. R. Buitelaar +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the phase of a reflected radio-frequency signal is measured by coupling the nanoparticles to resonant electrical circuits and measurement of the phase is performed using a single tunnel contact.
Journal ArticleDOI
Three-input gate logic circuits on chemically assembled single-electron transistors with organic and inorganic hybrid passivation layers.
Yutaka Majima,Guillaume Hubert Frederic Hackenberger,Yasuo Azuma,Shinya Kano,Kosuke Matsuzaki,Tomofumi Susaki,Masanori Sakamoto,Toshiharu Teranishi +7 more
TL;DR: The results show the potential of chemically assembled SETs to work as logic devices with multi-gate inputs using organic and inorganic hybrid passivation layers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robust Pt-based nanogap electrodes with 10 nm scale ultrafine linewidth
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of hot-carrier effects on charge separation in type-II CdS/CdTe heterostructured nanorods
TL;DR: The pump-energy dependence of the TA dynamics shows that hot electrons rapidly relax to the bottom of the conduction band of CdTe, and then the electrons transfer to the CdS segment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fine-tuning supramolecular assemblies of fullerenes bearing long alkyl chains
Takashi Nakanishi,Hirokazu Takahashi,Hirokazu Takahashi,Tsuyoshi Michinobu,Tsuyoshi Michinobu,Jonathan P. Hill,Toshiharu Teranishi,Katsuhiko Ariga +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, fine-tuning of the supramolecularly organized nanometer scale architectures of fullerene derivatives, fulleropyrrolidines substituted with a mono-, di-, or tri(n-hexadecyloxy)phenyl group is described.
