Early Proterozoic oceanic crust and the evolution of subcontinental mantle: Eclogites and related rocks from southern Africa

TL;DR: In this paper, seven eclogitic nodules from kimberlites in southern Africa have been studied in detail for whole-rock, major and trace-element geochemistry, petrography, and mineral chemistry by electron microprobe; high-purity mineral separates from six of these samples have been analyzed for trace elements and for the isotopic composition of Sr, Nd, and oxygen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acfer 217‐A new member of the Rumuruti chondrite group (R)

TL;DR: The first fall of this type of chondrite is known (Schulze et al., 1994) with the meteorite Rumuruti as discussed by the authors, which has chemical and mineralogical properties very similar to Rumuriti and Carlisle Lakes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dark inclusions in Allende, Leoville, and Vigarano - Evidence for nebular oxidation of CV3 constituents

TL;DR: The origin and history of dark inclusions were investigated using petrologic, chemical, and oxygen isotopic data on ten DI samples from Allende, Leoville, and Vigarano as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Carlisle Lakes-type chondrites: A new grouplet with high Δ17O and evidence for nebular oxidation

TL;DR: In this paper, the petrogenesis of the Carlisle lakes-type chondrites and their relationship to other chondites are studied using new petrologic data, especially on mineralogical zoning patterns, and oxygen isotopic analyses of the whole chondrite and some of chondrules.
