Journal ArticleDOI

Separation and recovery of ruthenium: a review

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a review of the literature for the removal of RuO4 from spent nuclear fuel from fast breeder reactors using extractants and methods which are conducive to plant conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrogen ion implantation and in vitro corrosion behavior of as-cast Ti–6Al–7Nb alloy

TL;DR: In this article, surface modification of Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy with nitrogen ions is considered as a method to improve its performance with respect to corrosion, and the implanted samples were subjected to electrochemical study in Ringer's solution in order to determine the optimum dose that can give good corrosion resistance in a simulated body fluid condition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hollow mesoporous zirconia nanocontainers for storing and controlled releasing of corrosion inhibitors

TL;DR: In this article, hollow mesoporous zirconia nanospheres (hm -ZrO 2 ) with a hollow core / porous shell structure are proposed as effective containers for corrosion inhibitor loading and releasing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morphological and compositional analysis of passive film on austenitic stainless steel in nitric acid medium

TL;DR: In this article, the passive film properties of type 304L stainless steel in nitric acid medium are investigated in both ex situ and in situ conditions, and the results revealed that variation in passive film morphology occurs depending upon the concentration and time of immersion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Corrosion behavior and surface film characterization of TaNbHfZrTi high entropy alloy in aggressive nitric acid medium

TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion behavior of TaNbHfZrTi high-entropy alloy (HEA) was investigated in nitric and fluorinated nitric acid at ambient (27°C) and boiling (120 °C) conditions.
