TL;DR: GV mass is highly prognostic when mass is elevated (advanced disease), but global wall thickness is easily and accurately calculated, and adds value and discrimination amongst those with normal mass (early disease), and the combination of these two measures can be used to characterize hypertrophy.

Comments on Practical experiences on the necessity of external validation by I. R. König, J. D. Malley, C. Weimar, H.-C. Diener and A. Ziegler, Statistics in Medicine, DOI: 10.1002/sim.3069
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that classical internal validation techniques are insufficient to estimate prediction quality in temporal validation data, and temporal validation only poorly predicts the external generalizability of the model.

TL;DR: PA levels differed with study program and increased with better self-perceived health, but were not associated with socioeconomic status.

Outcomes in Emergency Department Patients with Dyspnea versus Chest Pain: A Retrospective Consecutive Cohort Study
TL;DR: Compared with chest pain patients, ED dyspnea patients are older, have more comorbidity, and have worse outcomes in terms of hospitalization, morbidity,, and mortality.
