The release of fungal spores from water damaged building materials
J. Kildesø,H. Wurtz,K. Fog Nielsen,C.K. Wilkins,S. Gravesen,Peter Nielsen,Ulf Thrane,Thomas Schneider +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
2. The Amsterdam Declaration on fungal nomenclature
David L. Hawksworth,Pedro W. Crous,Scott A. Redhead,Don R. Reynolds,Robert A. Samson,Keith A. Seifert,John W. Taylor,Michael J. Wingfield,Ulf Thrane,Jens Christian Frisvad,Signatories +10 more
TL;DR: The Amsterdam Declaration on Fungal Nomenclature recognizes the need for an orderly transition to a single-name nomenclatural system for all fungi, and to provide mechanisms to protect names that otherwise then become endangered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hypopulvins, novel peptaibiotics from the polyporicolous fungus Hypocrea pulvinata, are produced during infection of its natural hosts.
Christian René Röhrich,Anita Iversen,Walter M. Jaklitsch,Hermann Voglmayr,Albrecht Berg,Heinrich Dörfelt,Ulf Thrane,Andreas Vilcinskas,Andreas Vilcinskas,Kristian Fog Nielsen,Hans von Döhren,Hans Brückner,Hans Brückner,Thomas Degenkolb,Thomas Degenkolb +14 more
TL;DR: Structural analogies of the hypopulvins, particularly with other 18-, 19-, and 20-residue peptaibiotics, suggest that the hypocrea pulvinata are forming transmembrane ion channels and could thus support the hypothesis of a parasitic lifestyle of the fungicolous producer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical characterization of Phoma pomorum isolated from Danish maize
TL;DR: It is reported for the first time that a Phoma species has been reported as a producer of isocoumarins, P. pomorum, which is placed in the Phoma section Peyronellaea.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secondary metabolites produced byAltemaria infectoria and their use as chemotaxonomic markers
Birgitte Andersen,Ulf Thrane +1 more
TL;DR: Twenty-one isolates ofAlternaria infectoria have been screened for their production of secondary metabolites for chemotaxonomic characterization and the positions of six unknown metabolites in the metabolite profile of A. infection have been determined.
