The synthesis and structural study of two benzothiazolyl azo dyes: X-ray crystallographic and computational study of azo–hydrazone tautomerism
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR characterisation, as well as crystal and molecular structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction data, of two azo dyes derived from 6-aminobenzothiazole: 6-[(4-N,N-dimethylaminophenyl)diazenyl]benzothiazoles and 6-[ (2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)-diamethyl]-benzostiazole are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Bis-substituted Amidinobenzothiazoles as Potential Anti-HIV Agents

Journal ArticleDOI
Novel diamidino-substituted derivatives of phenyl benzothiazolyl and dibenzothiazolyl furans and thiophenes: synthesis, antiproliferative and DNA binding properties.
Livio Racane,Vesna Tralić-Kulenović,Sandra Kraljević Pavelić,Ivana Ratkaj,Paul Peixoto,Raja Nhili,Sabine Depauw,Marie -Paule Hildebrand,Marie-Hélène David-Cordonnier,Krešimir Pavelić,Grace Karminski-Zamola +10 more
TL;DR: A series of new diamidino, diisopropylamidino-, and diimidazolinyl-substituted derivatives of phenyl benzothiazolyl and dibenzothiazolel furans and thiophenes were successfully prepared and evaluated for their antiproliferative activity on tumor cell lines in vitro, DNA binding propensity, and sequence selectivity as well as cellular distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, crystal structure and antiproliferative evaluation of some new substituted benzothiazoles and styrylbenzothiazoles.
Irena Ćaleta,M. Grdisa,Draginja Mrvoš-Sermek,Mario Cetina,Vesna Tralić-Kulenović,Krešimir Pavelić,Grace Karminski-Zamola +6 more
TL;DR: The multistep synthesis of a series of new substituted-benzothiazoles as hydrochloride or quaternary salts exerted a different inhibitory effect, depended on concentration and type of the cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and antitumor evaluation of novel derivatives of 6-amino-2-phenylbenzothiazoles.
TL;DR: Water soluble hydrochloride salts of 6-amino-2-(substituted-phenyl)benzothiazole (13-19) were found to exert cytostatic activities against malignant human cell lines and normal human fibroblast cell lines.
