TL;DR: In this paper, a highly sensitive and selective optical sensor for the determination of trace amounts of Cu 2+ based on fluorescence quenching has been developed, which has a linear range of 1.0 × 10 −8 -5.7 × 10−4 mol L −1 for Cu 2 + ions with a detection limit of 8.8 × 10-9 mol L−1 (0.56 μg L − 1 ), and the response time ( τ 90 ) was approximately 2.5 min.
