Proceedings ArticleDOI
Post-growth processing of 1.55 um InP/InGaAs/InGaAsP material for integrated laser-modulator device fabrication
TL;DR: In this article, low energy ion implantation induced intermixing has been used to selectively blueshift 1.55μm InP/lnGaAs/InGaAsP material.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Effect of illumination on the electron transport mechanisms in Silicon nanocrystal-based nanopixels
Samir Chatbouri,M. Troudi,N. Sghaier,Adel Kalboussi,Dominique Drouin,Vincent Aimez,Abdelkader Souifi +6 more
TL;DR: This work shows that the photo-induced current fluctuations (RTS) could be related to the interaction between single photogenerated charges.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Apodized comb filters on SOI using sidewalled sampled gratings
Venkatakrishnan Veerasubramanian,Guillaume Beaudin,Alexandre Giguere,Boris Le Drogoff,Vincent Aimez,Andrew G. Kirk +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the etch depths in fingers and spaces have been apodized in a complementary fashion, and comb filters using sidewalled sampled gratings have been proposed, where they numerically demonstrate filters with 40 dB SMSR, 92 GHz bandwidth, 200 GHz channel spacing, and 120 dB/decade roll-off.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Reprogrammable Optical Phase Array (ROPA) used as a 1×6 space switch
TL;DR: In this article, the design, simulation and testing of a 1 times 6 optical switch is presented, which is achieved through a voltage-controlled optical phase array and a high-voltage CMOS chip.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Reducing CPV Materials Cost Through Multistage Concentration
Richard Norman,Brad Siskavich,Etienne Leveille,William Cloutier,Luc G. Fréchette,Vincent Aimez +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a multi-stage-concentration module with a trough mirror to reduce overall materials usage compared to the traditional Fresnel/box CPV.
