Proceedings ArticleDOI
Neural network based video surveillance system
TL;DR: The proposed semantic event detection system is able to detect mobile objects in the scene and to classify their movements so as to raise an alarm whenever unacceptable movements are detected.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: A digital solution based on analogue signal compression, high speed A/D converters, a fully programmable pipeline and a digital signal processing (DSP) chain with local intelligence and system supervision aimed at providing maximal front-end processing power by performing waveform analysis using DSP methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Residue arithmetic for a fault-tolerant multiplier: the choice of the best tripe of bases
TL;DR: Criteria allowing the identification of the best set of bases to detect and correct a given number of bits of the considered multiplier and the results obtained are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, a digital solution to the front-end electronics for calorimetric detectors at future supercolliders is presented, based on high speed A D converters, a fully programmable pipeline/digital filter chain and local intelligence.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Image processing for granulometry analysis via neural networks
TL;DR: The proposed method presents a set of techniques based on wavelet analysis and image processing techniques suitable to extract relevant features for the granulometry analysis to estimate the particles size distribution in an image without the use of segmentation techniques.
