Journal ArticleDOI
Stacking and T-shape competition in aromatic-aromatic amino acid interactions.
TL;DR: Analysis of the protein database has shown that proximal and distal interacting aromatic residues are predominantly stacked and T-shaped, respectively, as found from the free energy calculation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Triggering dynamics of the high-pressure benzene amorphization.
Lucia Ciabini,Lucia Ciabini,Mario Santoro,Mario Santoro,Federico A. Gorelli,Federico A. Gorelli,Roberto Bini,Roberto Bini,Vincenzo Schettino,Vincenzo Schettino,Simone Raugei +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown that at the onset of the transformation of crystalline benzene to an amorphous hydrogenated carbon the intermolecular C-C distance is always the same once collective motions are taken into account, and it is independent of the pressure and temperature conditions.

Lattice Dynamics of Molecular Crystals
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a model of the dynamics of the Cartesian coordinates of molecular coordinates, including the symmetry properties of Vibrational States, and the potential of intermolecular potential.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen bond dynamics in liquid methanol
TL;DR: In this article, a Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics simulation has been performed on fully deuterated liquid methanol and the results are compared with the latest available experimental and theoretical data.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Vibrational Spectrum of fullerene C60
TL;DR: Using an improved DFT calculation of the vibrational frequencies based on the B3-LYP functional and the 6-31G* basis set, the infrared, Raman, neutron inelastic and luminescence spectra of C60 are analyzed in this article.
