Significant Improvement of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell Performance Using Simple Phenothiazine-Based Dyes
Yong Hua,Shuai Chang,Dandan Huang,Xuan Zhou,Xunjin Zhu,Jianzhang Zhao,Tao Chen,Wai Yeung Wong,Wai Yeung Wong,Wai-Kwok Wong +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a series of simple phenothiazine-based dyes have been synthesized, in which a cyanoacrylate acceptor directly attached to the C(3) position of phenothia, and an additional linear electron-rich (4-hexyloxy)phenyl group at C(7) on the opposite side of the acceptor and an alkyl chain with different length at N(10) of the phenothiasine periphery are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Near-Infrared-Fluorescent Chemodosimeter for Mercuric Ion Based on an Expanded Porphyrin†
TL;DR: An expanded porphyrin [26]hexaphyrin (1.1.2.1) was exploited as a fluorescent chemodosimeter for Ag + ions with high sensitivity and selectivity via near-infrared luminescence above 900 nm, a region that is free from optical interference in the visible wavelength range induced by the commonly used matrix and other organic compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in soil and sediment from an electronic waste recycling facility.
TL;DR: The obtained isomer profiles of PBDEs from the two soil samples collected from different contamination sites were found to be similar to various technical formulations of fire retardant products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterobimetallic Zn(II)-Ln(III) phenylene-bridged schiff base complexes, computational studies, and evidence for singlet energy transfer as the main pathway in the sensitization of near-infrared Nd3+ luminescence.
Wing Kit Lo,Wai-Kwok Wong,Wai-Yeung Wong,Jianping Guo,Kai Tai Yeung,Yuen Kit Cheng,Xiaoping Yang,Richard A. Jones +7 more
TL;DR: NIR sensitization studies of [Zn(mu-L')Nd(NO3)3(H2O)n] (L' = L1-L4) complexes showed that Nd3+ sensitization took place via the 3LC and 1LC states when the spacer between the imine groups of the Schiff base ligand was an ethylene and a phenylene unit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and near-infrared luminescence of 3d-4f bi-metallic Schiff base complexes
TL;DR: The reaction of the zinc(II) Schiff base complex ZnL [H2L=N,N′-bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)ethylene-1,2-diamine] with one equivalent of Ln(NO3)3·xH2O (Ln=Nd, Ho, Er or Yb) gives the neutral 3d-4f bi-metallic Schiff base complexes [ZnL].
