Catalytic Conversion of Coal and Biomass Volatiles: A Review

TL;DR: A review of recent research on direct upgrading of coal/biomass volatiles into aromatics by catalytic pyrolysis and syngas by gasification with catalytic steam reforming can be found in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Layered uniformly delocalized electronic structure of carbon supported Ni catalyst for catalytic reforming of toluene and biomass tar

TL;DR: In this article, a layered carbon supported Ni catalyst was prepared by modified lignite, which showed great catalytic activity and stability for reforming of toluene and biomass tar, and the results revealed the layered delocalized electronic structure of Ni, which has lower activation energy than other reported catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acid washed lignite char supported bimetallic Ni-Co catalyst for low temperature catalytic reforming of corncob derived volatiles

TL;DR: In this paper, bimetallic Ni-10%Co/AWSL catalysts were evaluated in catalytic reforming of corncob pyrolysis volatiles at a relatively low catalytic temperature of 450°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly active and stable HF acid modified HZSM-5 supported Ni catalysts for steam reforming of toluene and biomass pyrolysis tar

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of HF modified HZSM-5 supported nickel catalysts (Ni/FZ5) in steam reforming of toluene (TSR) and biomass pyrolysis tar (BSR) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative evaluation of tar steam reforming over graphitic carbon supported Ni and Co catalysts at low temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used acid-washed and oxidized Shengli lignite char (OXAWSL) as carbon precursor to load Co and Ni via ion exchange method to steam reforming of toluene and biomass tar.
