Development of the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group International Database: An Unprecedented Resource for the Study of a Rare Group of Tumors
James Huang,Usman Ahmad,Alberto Antonicelli,Ann Christine Catlin,Wentao Fang,Daniel R. Gomez,Patrick J. Loehrer,Marco Lucchi,Edith M. Marom,Andrew G. Nicholson,Enrico Ruffini,William D. Travis,Paul Van Schil,Heather A. Wakelee,Xiaopan Yao,Frank C. Detterbeck +15 more
TL;DR: The rapid creation of the ITMIG database demonstrates the feasibility of international collaboration for this rare set of malignancies and attests to the engagement of its membership.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term Efficacy of Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy Plus Surgery for the Treatment of Locally Advanced Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: The NEOCRTEC5010 Randomized Clinical Trial.
Hong Yang,Hui Liu,Yuping Chen,Chengchu Zhu,Wentao Fang,Zhentao Yu,Zhentao Yu,Weimin Mao,Jiaqing Xiang,Yongtao Han,Zhijian Chen,Zhijian Chen,Haihua Yang,Jiaming Wang,Qingsong Pang,Xiao Zheng,H. Yang,Tao Li,Xu Zhang,Qun Li,Geng Wang,Baofu Chen,Teng Mao,Min Kong,Xufeng Guo,Ting Lin,Mengzhong Liu,Jianhua Fu +27 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the treatment efficacy of NCRT plus surgery with surgery alone for long-term survival among patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary function changes after different extent of pulmonary resection under video-assisted thoracic surgery.
TL;DR: Compared with VATS lobectomy, VATS segmentectomy may help minimize loss of FVC but not FEV1 or DLCO, and wedge resection best preserves pulmonary function with similar spirometry change with VATs mediastinal procedures without lung resection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kaempferol inhibits cell proliferation and glycolysis in esophagus squamous cell carcinoma via targeting EGFR signaling pathway.
TL;DR: Kaempferol, or its analogues, may serve as effective candidates for esophagus squamous cell carcinoma management as well as its antitumor mechanisms are suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic Impact of Postoperative Lymph Node Metastases After Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy for Locally Advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Esophagus: From the Results of NEOCRTEC5010, a Randomized Multicenter Study.
Xuefeng Leng,Wenwu He,Hong Yang,Yuping Chen,Chengchu Zhu,Wentao Fang,Zhentao Yu,Weimin Mao,Jiaqing Xiang,Zhijian Chen,Zhijian Chen,Haihua Yang,Jiaming Wang,Qingsong Pang,Xiao Zheng,Hui Liu,H. Yang,Tao Li,Xu Zhang,Qun Li,Geng Wang,Teng Mao,Xufeng Guo,Ting Lin,Mengzhong Liu,Jianhua Fu,Yongtao Han +26 more
TL;DR: Persistent pathologic LN metastasis after NCRT is a strong poor prognostic factor in ESCC; patients with pCR should undergo an active strategy of surveillance and adjuvant therapy.
