Significance of serum microRNAs in pre-diabetes and newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes: a clinical study.
Lei Kong,Junjie Zhu,Wenxia Han,Xiuyun Jiang,Min Xu,Yue Zhao,Qiongzhu Dong,Zengfen Pang,Qingbo Guan,Ling Gao,Jiajun Zhao,Lei Zhao +11 more
TL;DR: The expression levels of seven diabetes-relatedMiRNAs in serum were significantly elevated in n-T2D compared with pre-diabetes and/or s-NGT, and the latter two groups featured similar expression patterns of these miRNAs, suggesting that during the pathogenesis of T2D, the peripheral diabetes- related miRNas have not changed significantly from s- NGT at pre- diabetic stage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor-α Regulates the Expression of Pancreatic/Duodenal Homeobox-1 in Rat Insulinoma (INS-1) Cells and Ameliorates Glucose-Induced Insulin Secretion Impaired by Palmitate
Ying Sun,Li Zhang,Harvest F. Gu,Wenxia Han,Meng Ren,Furong Wang,Bendi Gong,Laicheng Wang,Hua Guo,Wei Xin,Jiajun Zhao,Ling Gao +11 more
TL;DR: Results demonstrate a regulatory relationship between PPARalpha and PDX-1 in INS-1 cells and suggest that PPAR alpha activation potentiates GSIS under elevated palmitate conditions possibly via up-regulation of PDx-1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of two novel mutations in SLC12A3 gene in two Chinese pedigrees with Gitelman syndrome and review of literature.
Congcong Li,Xinli Zhou,Wenxia Han,Xiuyun Jiang,Jia Liu,Li Fang,Hai Wang,Qingbo Guan,Ling Gao,Jiajun Zhao,Jin Xu,Chao Xu +11 more
TL;DR: It is aimed to investigate the clinical and genetic characteristics of two Chinese pedigrees and summarize the advance in GS genetics, diagnosis and management.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic leucine exposure results in reduced but reversible glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in INS-1 cells
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that sustained high concentrations of leucine induce a reversible impairment of GSIS and alter insulin content, which is mediated by PDX-1 and GLUT2, in INS-1 cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Association of Autoantibodies in Hyperthyroid Heart Disease Combined with Pulmonary Hypertension.
TL;DR: There was a good correlation between pulmonary artery systolic pressure and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and receptor antibodies (TRAb) and patients with HHD combined with PH showed a significantly higher serum level of TRAb; moreover, serum TRAb concentration was remarkably correlated with the PASP level, suggesting TRAb participates in the process of pulmonary hypertension caused by hyperthyroid heart disease.
