Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors and dose-effect relationship for mandibular osteoradionecrosis in oral and oropharyngeal cancer patients.
Ik Jae Lee,Woong Sub Koom,Chang Geol Lee,Yong Bae Kim,Sei Whan Yoo,Ki Chang Keum,Gwi Eon Kim,Eun Chang Choi,In Ho Cha +8 more
TL;DR: Mandibular surgery was the most significant risk factor for ORN of mandible in oral and oropharyngeal cancers patients, and high radiation doses over BED 102.6 Gy(2) or higher to the mandible also significantly increases the risk of ORN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pathologic complete response of primary tumor following preoperative chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer: long-term outcomes and prognostic significance of pathologic nodal status (KROG 09-01).
Seung Gu Yeo,Dae Yong Kim,Tae Hyun Kim,Hee Jin Chang,Jae Hwan Oh,Won Park,Doo Ho Choi,Heerim Nam,Jun Sang Kim,Moon June Cho,Jong Hoon Kim,Jin-Hong Park,Min Kyu Kang,Woong Sub Koom,Jae Sung Kim,Taek Keun Nam,Eui Kyu Chie,Jung Soo Kim,Kyung Ja Lee +18 more
TL;DR: LARC patients achieving ypT0N0 after preoperative CRT had favorable long-term outcomes, whereas positive ypN status had a poor prognosis even after total regression of primary tumor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Parameters Predicting Pathologic Tumor Response After Preoperative Chemoradiotherapy for Rectal Cancer
Sang Min Yoon,Dae Yong Kim,Tae Hyun Kim,Kyung Hae Jung,Hee Jin Chang,Woong Sub Koom,Seok Byung Lim,Hyo Seong Choi,Seung-Yong Jeong,Jae-Gahb Park +9 more
TL;DR: Data suggest that pretreatment CEA level is the most important clinical predictor of pathologic tumor response and may be of benefit in the selection of treatment options as well as the assessment of individual prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computed tomography-based high-dose-rate intracavitary brachytherapy for uterine cervical cancer: preliminary demonstration of correlation between dose-volume parameters and rectal mucosal changes observed by flexible sigmoidoscopy.
Woong Sub Koom,Dae Kyung Sohn,Joo-Young Kim,Jong Won Kim,Kyung Hwan Shin,Sang Min Yoon,Dae Yong Kim,Myonggeun Yoon,Dongho Shin,Sung-Yong Park,Kwan Ho Cho +10 more
TL;DR: Preliminary data have shown that DVH values of the rectosigmoid colon obtained by computed tomography-based three-dimensional brachytherapy planning are reliable and predictive of score > or =2 rectosigmaticoid mucosal changes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of microsatellite instability on recurrence patterns and outcomes in colorectal cancers.
Chang Gon Kim,Joong Bae Ahn,Minkyu Jung,Seung Hoon Beom,Chan Kim,Joo Hoon Kim,Su Jin Heo,Hyung Soon Park,Jee Hung Kim,Nam Kyu Kim,Byung Soh Min,Hoguen Kim,Woong Sub Koom,Sang Joon Shin +13 more
TL;DR: Recurrence patterns differed between MSI-H CRC and MSI-L/MSS CRC, and recurrent MSI-h CRCs had a worse prognosis, and an analysis of patients with colon cancer yielded similar results.
