Journal ArticleDOI

Psiguadials A and B, two novel meroterpenoids with unusual skeletons from the leaves of Psidium guajava.

TL;DR: Psiguadials A and B, two novel sesquiterpenoid-diphenylmethane meroterpenoids with unusual skeletons, along with a pair of known epimers, psidial A and guajadial, were isolated from the leaves of Psidium guajava and exhibited potent inhibitory effects on the growth of human hepatoma cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ruthenium(II)-Catalyzed Direct Addition of Indole/Pyrrole C2–H Bonds to Alkynes

TL;DR: A ruthenium-catalyzed C2-hydroindolation of alkynes has been achieved and this protocol provides a rapid and concise access to kinds of 2-alkenyl-substituted N-(2-pyridyl)indoles in which the p Pyridyl moiety can be easily removed to afford free (N-H) indoles under mild conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Guadial A and psiguadials C and D, three unusual meroterpenoids from Psidium guajava.

TL;DR: The first monoterpene-based meroterpenoid and two novel sesquiterpenes-based ones with unprecedented skeletons were isolated from the leaves of Psidium guajava and their structures with absolute configuration were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

α-Glucosidase inhibitory effect and simultaneous quantification of three major flavonoid glycosides in Microctis folium.

TL;DR: It is suggested that Microctis Folium may be a promising candidate for development of herbal antidiabetes drugs, and vitexin, isovitex in and isorhamnetin 3-O-β-d-rutinoside can be the biomarkers and chemical markers for this plant substance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Palladium-catalyzed ortho-functionalization of azoarenes with aryl acylperoxides

TL;DR: With the aid of an azo directing group, Pd-catalyzed ortho-sp(2) C-H bond activation/functionalization of azoarenes with aryl acyl peroxides has been explored and provides easy access to regioselectively introducing acyloxyl and aRYl groups into azoAREnes by simply changing the reaction temperature and solvent.
