IL-17 induces autoantibody overproduction and peripheral blood mononuclear cell overexpression of IL-6 in lupus nephritis patients.
TL;DR: IL-17 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of LN through the induction of IgG, anti-dsDNA overproduction and IL-6 overexpression of PBMC in LN patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-TNF-α Therapies in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
TL;DR: The role of TNF-α in the pathophysiological processes of SLE and the likely effects of blocking TNF -α in treatment ofSLE are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morgan,Ian G. Morgan,Mingguang He,Mingguang He,Yizhi Liu +31 more
TL;DR: This study, for the first time, used large-scale data collected from electronic health records to demonstrate the contribution of big data and machine learning approaches to improved prediction of myopia prognosis in Chinese school-aged children.
Journal ArticleDOI
The impact of peritoneal dialysis-related peritonitis on mortality in peritoneal dialysis patients
TL;DR: Peritonitis was independently associated with higher risk of all-cause, cardiovascular and infection-related mortality in peritoneal dialysis patients, and its impact on mortality was more significant in patients with longer peritoneAL dialysis duration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aristolochic Acid I Induced Autophagy Extenuates Cell Apoptosis via ERK 1/2 Pathway in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells
TL;DR: It is demonstrated for the first time that autophagy occurred earlier than apoptosis during AAI-induced tubular epithelial cell injury, which may provide a protective mechanism for cell survival under AAi-induced pathological condition.
